Group Fitness Class Descriptions

Zumba

This is a fitness class that combines dance and fitness moves to the background of latin music as well as to a variety of other world rhytms. This experience is more like attending a party rather than attending a class. It is an awesome cardio workout that includes toning benefits as well.

Bootcamp

This is the ultimate circuit workout combining intervals of cardio and muscle conditioning drills. Enjoy the variety of classes that may use jump ropes, boxing drills, relay races and even a little healthy competition. These high-intensity classes will help you to burn between 400 -600 calories.* This class brings to you the best drills for improving endurance, cardiovascular fitness and muscular strength.

Pilates

A workout designed to develop core strength and coordination, the focus of this class will be on traditional Pilates movement patterns, the use of breath and correct alignment. Participants will enjoy improvement in posture and overall toning.

Power Cycling

This Class takes indoor Cycling to the next level. If your goal is fitness training, weight loss or a high intensity cardio workout, this class will motivate you!

Power Step

This is a level 2 step class, more intense than regular step aerobics class

If you’re new to indoor cycling, we invite you to come early so your instructor can give you some pointers!

Step

After all these years, traditional aerobics and step classes are still two of the most popular and effective ways to burn fat and build cardiovascular endurance. This cardio workout consists of choreographed step patterns. You’ll challenge your mind and your body while burning calories. The workout intensity is determined by speed, travel, and execution of movements. In a class you can expect to burn 300-600 calories.*

Yoga

The Sanskrit word yoga has many meanings, and is derived from the Sanskrit root yuj, meaning "to control", "to yoke" or "to unite". Bring a dose of stress relief to your busy life through Yoga, stretching your tight body in new ways that will help it to become more flexible, bringing greater range of motion to muscles and joints. Over time, you can expect to gain flexibility in your hamstrings, back, shoulders, and hips.
